Lum Ying Mei

Mei has 12 years of professional experience and specialises in strategic management and business process improvement. She is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), the Chartered Management Institute (United Kingdom), as well as a Fellow of the  Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), United Kingdom.

After starting her career in PricewaterhouseCoopers (“PwC”) Malaysia’s Audit Practice Group (Banking and Financial Services division), Mei joined United Overseas Banking Group in Singapore (“UOB”) as their Regional Internal Audit Manager. She subsequently returned to PwC in the Managing Director’s office. Mei’s work has brought her to many countries including Los Angeles, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Australia, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia.

Highlights of her international career include recommending solutions to fix multiple banking IT systems, identifying corporate fraudulent practices, implementing best practice processes in local and multinational conglomerates (banking and manufacturing industries), training and retaining employees, and creating new income streams through effective strategic management.

She has served on the Board of Trustees for Habitat for Humanity, Malaysia, and is the Firm’s contact point for Corporate Partnerships, Corporate Social Responsibility, and advisory work including litigation support and cross-border mergers & acquisitions.

Amira graduated  from Universiti Putra Malaysia with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry majoring in Management. Before joining the firm in 2013, Amira gained valuable experience in Quality Management, Human Resource and Administration with Rio Kiara Sdn Bhd, Menta Construction Sdn Bhd and Parkson Corporation Head Quarters
